The community is confined to the cliff face. Above and below the cliff break the forest becomes a variety of the oak - hickory matrix.;Steep cliff face. Old logged stumps are apparent above and below the cliff. Fire scars are found the older stumps. The litter/duff layer is patchy, deep in some places non existent in others.
